Hi There! My name is Jo, and I am a thirty something year old writer from Vancouver, Canada that is doing her very best to navigate the world of friends with kids! I love kids. And I have more nieces and nephews that I can possibly keep track of, so though I don’t have any of my own at the moment, I’m around them all the time. I also used to work with autistic and deaf children for years and years, so I feel like I have a connection to children of all ages, at both ends of the developmental spectrum. The Little Red Crayon is a collection of my observations and experiences as an aunty and God Mother. I don’t pretend to be an expert on anything, I mean how could I, I’m not a parent, but I have some incredibly generous friends, who never seem to mind when I interrogate them or pepper them with questions about their parenting methods. Being around both my friends and their wonderful children will make me a better mother one day, and I hope that you all enjoy what I have learned along the way!
